Essential Diving Equipment For Your Belize Vacation
If you’re on your way to your first dive in Belize, there are a few things that you should consider completely necessary. Packing for a vacation can be stressful, and sometimes in all of our excitement we forget a thing or two, but when it comes to diving if you want to have your own equipment with you, forgetting something can be a letdown. For that reason, the diving experts at Belize Dive Haven have put together a list of essential diving equipment for your trip!
Mask
As masks are such an essential piece of diving equipment for your dive in Belize, (or your dive anywhere) make sure that you take the time to find one that fits you both tightly and comfortably. The mask you choose should be both watertight as well as comfortable to wear with your snorkel and regulator. Choose your mask wisely.
Wetsuit
Your wetsuit is going to be what protects your skin from scratches and what keeps you warm when you’re in the deep blue sea. It might be tempting to buy the most stylish-looking suit, but make sure you’re first looking for a suit made from neoprene rubber or spandex as they’re the most beneficial.
Fins
Finding the perfect pair of fins is very similar to finding the perfect pair of shoes. When trying on fins, remember that you need a tight enough pair to stay on your feet securely, but loose enough to let you wiggle your toes in them!
Buoyancy Compensator (BC)
A buoyancy compensator will ensure that your dive is comfortable and safe. Make sure that you take the time to try on multiple BCs before choosing one to buy, and to ensure the right fit, try on the buoyancy compensator over your wetsuit.
Dive Computer
A dive computer is essential to diving in Belize or anywhere else in the world because it tracks vital information like temperature, oxygen levels, and depth of dive. Investing in a quality dive computer can ultimately keep you safe in the long run.
Scuba Regulator
A scuba or diving regulator controls the pressure of your oxygen for diving, keeping you breathing safely throughout your dive. It’s important to know what your personal requirements are before investing in a quality regulator.
