Diving in Belize is synonymous with the Great Blue Hole, which draws many people to the area. However, there are other reasons many divers return time and time again to explore the underwater beauty of Belize.
Variety of Marine Life
When diving in Belize, you can encounter dolphins, nurse sharks and a number of other marine life. At Belize Dive Haven, our weeklong packages include three dives per day, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to see and photograph the underwater inhabitants of Belize.
Warm and Calm Seas all Year
Belize is a special place to dive because it offers warm and calm seas 12 months of the year. Between August and October, the water temperature can reach up to 29°C (84°F). During the coldest months, January and February, the water rarely dips below 26°C (78°F). Even the sporadic showers during the rainy season won’t affect your off-shore dives or visibility.
Belize Barrier Reef
When diving in Belize, you’ll be exploring the longest, unbroken barrier reef in the western hemisphere. The reef is accessible from our resort and many guests have enjoyed shore diving and snorkelling right from the beach.
If you want to try diving in Belize, or have previously visited but want a truly unique experience staying on Turneffe Atoll, book a vacation at Belize Dive Haven. Our weeklong (Saturday to Saturday) packages include transportation from the mainland, three dives per day, three meals and access to all resort amenities.
