Belize Dive Haven Resort welcomes divers from around the world to explore the amazing dive spots in and around our resort. Our remote location makes us a destination for people that want to experience some of the most beautiful underwater areas of Belize, but it’s important that you bring everything you need to Turneffe Atoll to have a successful diving trip.
At the resort, we’re happy to provide you with your tanks and dive weights, but everything else should be brought in your luggage. To help pack, follow these helpful tips.
Use a Scuba Bag
While some people try to fit gear in regular luggage, we’ve found it’s helpful to purchase a dedicated scuba bag. These specially designed bags have spots for everything from fins and masks to buoyancy compensator and wetsuits.
Bring Your Regulator on Board
Even if you can fit the regulator in your scuba bag, it’s best to bring this delicate equipment in your carry-on. Be sure to carefully wrap the regulator and ensure that the hoses will not twist or crack while in transit
Pack Extras
When planning a diving trip, it’s always best to be cautious. If you’re able, bring backup gear in case something breaks during the trip. Packing an extra mask, fin straps and small repair kit can save your vacation should the unexpected occur.
Diving Lamps
If you’re planning on bringing a diving lamp, please check with your air carrier to ensure that they’re allowed on board as policies vary between airlines. If allowed, pack lamps in your carry-on luggage and ensure that the energy source is disconnected from the light to prevent accidental functioning during the flight.
