Divers have the privilege of seeing the beauty of our oceans and seas but unfortunately, they also see first-hand how fragile and threatened our underwater ecosystem is. At Belize Dive Haven Resort, we believe in promoting sustainable diving and have taken great strides to ensure our resort is eco-friendly.
With the Belize Barrier Reef running in front of the resort, we encourage our guests to experience the breathtaking view but also remind them of simple ways they can help keep the reef healthy for generations to come.
When building the resort, our long term goal was to make it green and environmentally friendly. We are planning to install a solar farm to provide energy for the resort and have planted crops with the goal of feeding our guests using only local ingredients. We also believe it’s important to sustain the local economy which is why we prioritize hiring local workers and supporting local businesses for all our resort needs.
You can enjoy the gorgeous underwater views of Belize while still promoting sustainable diving. If you want to see the steps Belize Dive Haven has taken to protect the waters of Belize and the Barrier Reef, join one of our tours.
Just 30 miles from Belize City, Belize Dive Haven is located in pristine Turneffe Atoll. Consisting of creeks, lagoons, mangrove islands and cays, the atoll is home to over 500 species of fish, 65 different species of stony corals as well as birds, turtles, manatees and dolphins.
