Top Reasons Why You Should Visit Belize

If you’ve never been to Belize before, you are probably wondering what some of the top reasons for visiting are! From the amazing climate, to the unbelievable beaches, to the world-famous dive sites, here are some of the top reasons why you should visit Belize!

1. The Weather is Amazing

The weather in Belize is beautiful. The average annual temperature is between 21°C to 31°C, which means the weather is always perfect for the beach, the pool, or a lovely nature walk. Not to mention, the average temperature of the ocean lands somewhere between 27°C and 29°C year-round!

2. The Wildlife is Incredible

Belize is worth the trip just for the wildlife alone. Over half of Belize is just wildlife and jungle, which means there is a great emphasis on the importance of nature and observing plants and animals. On top of all the underwater creatures you will see while on diving excursions, you’re likely to see various tropical birds and reptiles as well!

3. The Pristine Beaches and Turquoise Water

Belize is home to some absolutely beautiful tropical beaches that are just begging to be experienced. You can enjoy the warm ocean breeze while playing in the soft, fine sand, and dipping your toes in the crystal clear waters. Sawgrass and seaweed can occasionally get washed up on our beach, but our staff makes sure to keep it clean for our guests so they can enjoy it to its full potential!

4. Belize Is Home To The World Famous Great Blue Hole

What once was a collapsed limestone cave is now a massive sinkhole that spans 1000 feet wide and 400 feet deep. Divers travel from all over the world to see the beautiful and haunting Great Blue Hole, and to dive into it themselves. Trips to the Great Blue Hole are absolutely available for those who stay at Belize Dive Haven, but divers must have their PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

5. The Scuba Diving is Unbelievable

Even beyond the Great Blue Hole, scuba diving in Belize is a life-changing experience. The Belize Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef in the Western Hemisphere, so our diving classes and excursions give visitors the chance to swim among tropical fish, sea turtles, dolphins and reef sharks!

6. Belizean Food is Delicious

When you’ve worked up an appetite from your diving excursions, Belizean food will blow you away. Belize cuisine is a mix of several different cultures, so while you’re there make sure to try some rice and beans, stewed chicken, or delicious tamales!

7. The Mayan Ruins and Culture

The history and the cultural significance of Belize is tangible! Belize has the highest concentration of Mayan archeological sites with countless beautiful buildings and pyramids left by the Mayan people.
